About FLDCDT

The Florida Division on Career Development and Transition (FLDCDT) is a state division of the International Division on Career Development and Transition (DCDT), affiliated with the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) whose members are dedicated to shaping policies and practices that impact the quality of career development and transition services of youth with exceptionalities in the state of Florida.
The primary purposes of FLDCDT are:

To promote the career development of individuals with exceptionalities in order to bring about effective programs of career awareness, career exploration, career preparation, and transition from school to work and community living for these individuals from early childhood through adulthood.

To encourage and promote professional growth, research, legislation, and dissemination of information among Florida individuals and organizations concerned with and involved in career development and transition of people with exceptionalities.
FLDCDT Membership
​
Membership in the Florida DCDT is open to any person concerned with the career development and transition of exceptional individuals and who is a current member in good standing of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the International Division on Career Development and Transition (DCDT). Florida DCDT does not charge additional membership fees other than those established by CEC and International DCDT.
